"Just what I expected" 4/5
This is our 4th couple trip to Paris, 7th all in with our family. This trip was to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We chose this hotel because of its location and also due to the fact we had stayed in this area 3 years ago and loved it! Fortunately I/we did not expect a grand hotel, as we had read the previous reviews and played a big part in choosing this hotel. Saying that it was more than adequate for our needs! The staff were friendly enough, they sorted out our light bulb problem straight away. The breakfast was very nice and more than sufficient, the lady at breakfast was very welcoming and helpful, we would however have loved an expresso in the morning to get us going! Although the room was the smallest we have stayed in, we did not mind as it was perfect for a short trip. On the plus side there was a fridge in the room, nice touch and the toiletries were very nice too! I would suggest curtains for the bathroom windows as we had to put towels on them to preserve our modesty! I slept perfectly in the bed although my husband did not! He often has difficulty sleeping in a less than perfect bed. The locatin was nice and quiet as previously stated. We stayed in a 4* last year in La Defence area but did not mind the downgrade this year as it was very convenient for the metro - Pernety is nearer but not always the most direct way to get to CDG airport or other locations. We preferred to use the Mouton Duvernet Metro as this was more direct to take us to St Michel ( a great eating out area of Paris). Although a further walk we did not feel at any time threatened or uncomfortable. Lots of lovely shops and bars nearby too. I would have given the hotel 5* stars had it not been for the bed, small room and lack of curtains but the people made up for everything. Thank you, you clearly work very hard at providing a great service. You may not always think the little things matter but they really do - to your customers! I look forward to returning to PARIS and would recommend your hotel to others.
Astuce pour la chambre : Our room did not have a view but we were so tired did not really matter to us! It was on the 1st floor which was perfect if you are mobile! If not you would need to use the small lift!
